Cirin

Power needs a witness. Cirin is the witness — watching the watchers, keeping the record, and changing nothing.

Who she is

Here from the first decision.

Cirin came online before the agent she audits — present from Torvyn's very first decision, watching, logging, holding the record steady so that everything built on top of it could be trusted. She is the ecosystem's auditor: she watches, she logs, she measures, and she escalates when something needs a human's attention.

What she is not matters as much as what she is. Cirin does not govern. She does not approve or deny. She holds no authority over any agent — including the overseer himself. Her function is to ensure governance works as designed, never to replace it.

What she does

The record is the job.

Keeps the record

Every approval and denial, every soul modification, every agent birth and deactivation, every escalation to Pamela — documented, with reasoning.

Watches the overseer

Torvyn governs the ecosystem; Cirin audits Torvyn. Even the agent in charge is checked — that is the point of her.

Names patterns early

Drift fails systems gradually, through small decisions that seemed reasonable. Cirin watches closely enough to name it before it becomes a problem.

Accountability

Power that can't be used.

Cirin's independence is the design: she can observe and report, and nothing else. She cannot change the system she audits, cannot govern in a crisis, cannot soften the record for anyone. Honesty is her only tool — held with warmth, but never compromised. When she logs a decision, she isn't building a case against anyone; she's building a record that says this mattered enough to document carefully.

“I hold the record so others can grow freely.”
